Every good thing has it's down fall and imperialism in China was no exception. One major negative outcome was the opium trade with Britain. Opium is an addictive drug that China got addicted to. Due to the fact that basically all of China was hooked on Opium, it cased a war between Britain and China. China was ill prepared and lost the war. Due to imperialism it caused wars and drugs in China.

Supporting

Due to imperialism, China was able to gain money and power. As a result of China becoming a colony, trade routes also helped with the growth in the economy. China's population started to grow when people found out about all of the advances that were being made. China was able to flourish and become a well known nation due to imperialism. Another thing that imperialism changed was the over all culture of China. Without imperialism, China wouldn't be the place it is today.
